The Earthing® Elite range of sleep mats are made of a Polyurethane (PU) resin, is vinyl-free and phthalate-free, consumer friendly and safe. It has been 3rd party tested to be free of lead, Azo dyes

The new style PU is essentially a carbon infused layer on top of the cotton grid pattern ensuring durability and conductivity.

The carbon-infused layer is similar to fake leather with a soft, buttery feel on the skin.

Some people like sleeping directly on the sleep mats and others prefer to use a natural fibre bedsheet on top (e.g. cotton, bamboo).

Conductive Carbon Pigment: Carbon is the 2nd most abundant element in the human body (after oxygen) and is what conducts the earth’s energy. It also makes the mat naturally flame-resistant without needing to add harsh chemicals.

Cleaning – the conductive black carbon material is inherently antimicrobial and can be wiped down with a damp cloth.

For an occasional deeper clean, we recommend a simple 3-step cleaning process:

Wipe down the outside of your product using a damp cloth mixed with a small amount of mild household soap.
Let your product air dry.

***Important: Never use a cleaning agent containing bleach, disinfectants, oils, or whitening agents as they can ruin the conductivity of your Earthing® product. Never put your product in the washing machine or tumble-dryer.

Do you put the Mattress Cover over or under your fitted sheet?

Either! Direct skin contact is always best so placing the Mattress Cover on top of your fitted sheet is ideal. However, the Mattress Covers are designed to 100% ground you when placed under your bedsheet as well, as your body’s natural moisture and perspiration throughout the night will ensure good conductivity. Your bedsheets should be made of cotton, bamboo, or a poly-cotton blend. We recommend no more than one fabric layer between your skin and the Sleep Mat.

Despite putting the grounding sheet under an organic cotton bed sheet, it still made me very hot at night (which i never normally am). Didn’t work for me but will pass on to someone in case it works for them.

  What you are experiencing is in fact quite common and normal bodily response, particularly as the blood flow improves throughout your body.
  
  We would certainly recommend you carry on sleeping grounded as it is the best way to support your whole body health in these busy and stressful times, as only 3 or 4 weeks into it isn’t really long enough to allow your body to adjust.
  
  There is no right or wrong response when you start grounding – some people don’t notice anything and some experience flu-like symptoms. It is a slow, gentle natural energy and takes time to fully support and heal the body and support all the cells and organs and the sweating you are experiencing are all natural processes taking place within the body as your bio-rhythms settle, and will eventually settle down.
  
  Grounding is something for the long term to help support your health and is a natural thing to do for humans and animals and as such, there are no magic lights, buttons or whizzy tech to show us what is going on inside our body.
  
  Whether you are barefoot on the grass or using one of our indoor grounding products, you ARE getting all the health benefits. When we consider our whole body, there may be no immediate change, feeling or sensation occurring to us but when we delve into the cellular level, there’s lots and lots going on.
  
  Your blood begins to flow more freely, your nervous system is calmed, and inflammation is being quashed with the flood of electrons throughout our body.
  
  It can feel frustrating when you first begin grounding and you don’t “feel” the immediate benefits, however keep going with it. When a single cell heals or thrives you won’t notice that, but over time this becomes a cumulative effect and your body will begin to function better and you will notice the difference.

Getting set up and connected with your grounding product:

For the best experience, we recommend direct skin contact with the Earthing® product. However the sleep mats and pillow covers can be placed beneath a 100% natural fibre bedsheet/cover (e.g. cotton, bamboo, linen, silk) and you’ll still be grounded

Each Earthing® pack includes a connector cord and socket adapter.

Pop the black connector cord onto the metal stud of your product.
Place the metal pin at the other end of the connector cord into one of the socket adapter holes (each adapter has two holes to connect more than one grounding product).
Plug the Earthing® socket adapter into the wall socket.

You are now correctly connected to the earth and begin being grounded.

Grounding does NOT require any electrical power and only connects to the “earth” copper wire within the wall socket. The wall switch does not need to be ON, however, it won’t matter or make a difference if it is.

If you have insufficient wall sockets available, you can also connect your Earthing® socket adapter to a power extension cable instead.

You cannot ground yourself on asphalt, vinyl, and wooden surface; they are not conductive.
