The Earthing® Elite™ Universal Sleep Mats are 100% conductive and made from a proprietry Polyurethane (PU) resin which is essentially a carbon infused layer on top of the cotton/sliver thread grid pattern ensuring durability and conductivity.

It is vinyl-free and phthalate-free, consumer friendly and safe. It has been 3rd party tested to be free of lead, Azo dyes. It’s easy to clean and is extremely durable.

The carbon-infused layer is similar to fake leather with a soft, buttery feel on the skin. Some people like sleeping directly on the sleep mats and others prefer to use a natural fibre bedsheet on top (e.g. cotton, bamboo) and you will still be grounded.

Conductive Carbon Pigment: Carbon is the 2nd most abundant element in the human body (after oxygen) and is what conducts the earth’s energy. It also makes the mat naturally flame-resistant without needing to add harsh chemicals.

Cleaning – the conductive black carbon material is inherently antimicrobial and can be wiped down with a damp cloth.

For an occasional deeper clean, we recommend a simple 3-step cleaning process:

Wipe down the outside of your product using a damp cloth mixed with a small amount of mild household soap.
Let your product air dry.

***Important: Never use a cleaning agent containing bleach, disinfectants, oils, or whitening agents as they can ruin the conductivity of your Earthing® product. Never put your product in the washing machine or tumble-dryer.

Do you put the Mattress Cover over or under your fitted sheet?

Either! Direct skin contact is always best so placing the Mattress Cover on top of your fitted sheet is ideal. However, the Mattress Covers are designed to 100% ground you when placed under your bedsheet as well, as your body’s natural moisture and perspiration throughout the night will ensure good conductivity. Your bedsheets should be made of cotton, bamboo, or a poly-cotton blend. We recommend no more than one fabric layer between your skin and the Sleep Mat.

The carbon based sleep mat’s are very effective and well made a good design that fits the bed well. Begrounded are quick and and efficient in handling orders. The mat’s do eventually break down after a couple of years use but the benefits far outway this issue

I ordered this sleeping mat a couple of months ago and am genuinely amazed at the difference it has made to my sleep. I still wake up several times each night, but I go straight back off to sleep rather than it taking me an hour or so. I feel like I’m getting enough good sleep now, which makes such a positive difference to my life! I also notice I need to take fewer painkillers for arthritis in my thumbs.

Wonderful experience with Begrounded. Quality product and delivered very quickly and a lovely personal touch to the whole experience. I had some questions about the mat and got really constructive and helpful advice from Mike. I’m gradually increasing the use of the mat so a bit early to report on the effects, but my nervous system certainly feels calmer around sleep which has been a challenge for years. Still wake in the night but certainly go off to sleep easily initially.

In an effort to reduce my high stress and cortisol levels my sheet is a great addition to my routine. Definitely feel the quality of my sleep has improved and a flare up of plantar fasciitis is less troublesome that previous flare ups. As I’ve only been using it a month I feel it’s still too early to quantify it’s full benefits, but so far, so good 🙂

Having previously tried a full bed covering earthing sheet a while back, I had to try the Universal Sleep Mat for a few nights with and without it over a few weeks’ duration to be completely convinced and I can now definitely confirm that my sleep has improved consistently when sleeping on the Universal Sleep Mat compared to without. This is not woo woo pseudo science – it really makes a difference. I also like that it doesn’t need washing and all the hassle associated with that when using a full bed covering earthing sheet. Just wrap it around the mattress and you’re good to go!

Getting set up and connected with your grounding product:

For the best experience, we recommend direct skin contact with the Earthing® product. However the sleep mats and pillow covers can be placed beneath a 100% natural fibre bedsheet/cover (e.g. cotton, bamboo, linen, silk) and you’ll still be grounded

Each Earthing® pack includes a connector cord and socket adapter.

Pop the black connector cord onto the metal stud of your product.
Place the metal pin at the other end of the connector cord into one of the socket adapter holes (each adapter has two holes to connect more than one grounding product).
Plug the Earthing® socket adapter into the wall socket.

You are now correctly connected to the earth and begin being grounded.

Grounding does NOT require any electrical power and only connects to the “earth” copper wire within the wall socket. The wall switch does not need to be ON, however, it won’t matter or make a difference if it is.

If you have insufficient wall sockets available, you can also connect your Earthing® socket adapter to a power extension cable instead.

To clean, simply wipe down with warm soapy water. Avoid chemical cleaners

Earth provides us with “electric nutrition,” through a limitless supply of electrons. These electrons give the ground, lakes and oceans a natural negative electric charge. potent painkilling, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and stress reducing properties.

Research demonstrates that direct contact with the earth (or ground) our bodies absorb the electrons through our skin and restores and stabilizes the bioelectrical circuitry that governs our body. Earthing products are designed to be used with an Earthing ground rod placed in the soil outside next to a window or door, or via a grounded wall socket outlet inside the home or office.

No. They simply ground you by transferring the Earth’s energy through the ground port of a properly grounded outlet or from a ground rod placed directly in the Earth. The energy passes through a cord to the conductive Earthing product specially designed for human grounding. When your body comes in contact with an Earthing product you absorb the Earth’s energy. Earthing products are like “barefoot substitutes,” enabling you to receive the outside energy of the Earth inside your home or office.

No. Earthing products and the cords that connect them are designed only to conduct the Earth’s energy to you. They do not conduct any electrical power that operates your lights and appliances. You connect your Earthing product to the ground (earth) contact of a wall outlet or to a ground rod planted in the soil outside. All Earthing cords have a built-in 100 kilo-Ohms resistor providing protection in the unlikely case of an electric current flowing into the grounding wire such as when you touch a metallic object or appliance that is electrically charged due to a short-circuit in it.

No need to unplug them. Just leave them plugged in at the outlet unless you are going to move them to another room. Earthing products don’t “run” on electricity. They aren’t running up any bill when you leave them plugged in.
